I am restoring a 1993 Cajun center console boat with 1993 Yamaha 150 ProV outboard. I am to the point of putting the console back in and am deciding what to do about gauges. I don't know if old gauges work or not. I would like info on how to bench test gauges. I am also interested in simply replacing the gauges with a complete set of new ones (not necessarily Yamaha gauges). I can modify the console to fit a new panel if needed. I didn't know if the various brands of gauges available would work on a motor this old. Any recommendation on particular brand of gauge is appreciated if possible. Thanks for help.
