have 2001 lund fisherman with yamaha f-115. the tach in the dash reads
1000rpm with the motor off, compared to the tach-hr meter servive gauge on the stern. at dash tach @1730rpm service tach reads 1000rpm
2290 1500

2630 2000
3270 3000
5050 4000
the name on the tach is lund. is there any way to recalibrate the dash tach. thanks in advance.....captn-tin

Re: yammie-lund tachometer problem

Tell us the rest of the story! Did you change engines recently -- such as going from a two stroke to the four stroke? Is this a different tach or original? Did this just happen or has this tach been inaccurate from new? Check the back of the tach for a dial that has calibration settings. Note its current position and then turn it back and forth a few times to clean up the internal contacts. Sometimes they just get a film on them that needs to get rubbed off. Then try different settings until the two tachs read the same (or within 100 rpm of each other).
