Year, etc -- Johnson/Evinrude

I have an outboard identified as Mod CD-10 (I think, very unclear); Ser No. 1088938.<br />I think it has parts form both Johnson and Evinrude motors, but it has an ill-fitting Evinrude engine cover.<br />Can anyone give me info concerning the motor, including year? What is approx. value in running condiiton, but cosmetically not pretty. I have the metal pressurized gas tank.

Hey puffin...<br /><br />The model number indicates a 5.5hp 1954 Johnson. These were top notch runners in their day but in it's present condition would only bring what someone would give you for it. These are fun motors to tinker with also. Why not keep her and play?
