Year of my Johnson

Hey Guys<br /><br />Typical question here, what year is my Johnson with the model number of 9r-71r. I'm guessing by looking at the model number it is a 1971. Am I right? Is there a place on the net I can go to to find this info?<br /><br />Thanks

Your engine is a 1971, 9.5 H.P...It should be a short shaft. ...Bob in Calif...
