Hi All.
I'm new to Suzuki outboards. Have a couple of quick questions.
The motor I'm dealing with is a 70 Hp model
07501-461279.
Is there anyway to tell what year it is? The man I bought it from said it was a 96 model.
Second question is does anyone know how you're supposed to release the lower unit shift linkage for lower unit removal?
Third question is are these motor the same thing as a Yamaha?
Thanks in advance!

Well I called up Suzuki, they told me it is a 1994 model DT75. Still can't figure out the lower linkage or if it's the same motor as a yamaha.

Ok, someone slap me for not using the search function:-0
I found an earlier post on this, got the lower removed.

Anyone know if Suzuki and Yamaha are the same?

You must be patient ..... not all of us are in the same time zone ...... yamaha and suzuki are not the same, NOT THE SAME AT ALL ...... and you have a 75hp 2-stroke, suzuki never made 70hp 2-strokes and it is a 1994 model ..... glad you got the lower unit removed ..... now to get it back on .... good luck ..... :)
