the list is endless, can you tell us what you have tried so far?
we are going to need a little more info to help. Is it no spark at the plugs, distributor, coil? Have you done any trouble shooting? Do you have a manual? Did it happen all of a sudden? Is this the first its been started this year?

CHECKED IT OUT TURN KEY TO ON POSITIONtook volt meter across coil and only reading 4 volts why not 12 volts?

Proper reading is 4-9v. In your reply to my qestion from before you said no spark at plug 1, so your getting spark on the others?
If it is only the one plug, wire or plug is most likly the issue.
only checked the first plug out first should i try the others?
Yes, if you are not getting any spark at any:
1) remove wire from center of distributor that goes to coil, place it against the block for good ground and have someone crank the motor.
: If you get spark from the coil wire the issue is in the distributor
: if no spark from the wire remove the gray wire from the negative side of coil and try again
: if you get spark after the gray wire is removed the issue is a shorted tachometer
: if still no spark more trouble shooting needed
