Hate to say it,, with the new batt and starter, but it still sounds like you have a bad electrical connection somewhere, if you can turn it by hand with the plugs in, you do not have to much compression, but if the starter will at least turn the motor, even if it is one revolution every 3-4 seconds, then there is a very heavy draw in that system, it might be a bad ground, or heavy corrosion on a wire somewhere. It does not sound mechanical based on what you are describing.
