Hi, I have a 86 celebrity 190v bowrider. 230 mercruiser v8 and when I run the engine is have a steady stream of water filling the bilge. Only happens when running. Used flush muffs with water tured on full and no water comes out of hole. The hole has no threads and is located in the housing that the drive shaft goes through. https://youtu.be/2pMIFGppcGk is a quick video showing the problem.

Can someone tell me if I am missing a freeze plug ? If so what size? I cannot find any hoses that might have popped off and there doesn't seem to be any coupling device on the hole. It's a smooth bore about 1/4 inch in diameter.

Looks to me like your cooling water inlet hose came off. I would look again for the hose probly in a spot you wouldnt expect.

It looks to me to be the speedometer hole. Only issue is it might only leak when in gear going forward, it might not leak when just running.

A hole to the right of the inlet tube should not be there

But, it could be the speedo connection. IF, the the gimbal hsg has been changed too a later model. If original, IDK.

It only squirts water when running, when engine is off with flush muffs and water turned on full blast, no water comes out. It squirts out in forward, reverse and in neutral when running only.

Being an Alpha drive the water will not make it past the water pump in the drive, this is why the motor needs to be running.

Being it that area and only spraying when running, I'm thinking the transom assembly is the issue. May have a crank in it

If you remove the drive you will find the water inlet O ring missing and/or the mounting gasket or damaged and the bellows full of water
