Does anybody know what type of Jon boat this is, it is 18ft. I also would like to know what the max HP it can handle.

Looks to be 1960 to 1975 ish. When there were lots of companies making boats.
Should be good for a 30hp once you fix the transom.

handles look like old alumacraft. transom has been modified (cut down)

can always use the CFR calculation to determine the maximum hp for a 18' tiller steer boat. just need the transom width.

transom looks to be about 4.5 feet wide and under 20", so ~ 35hp

The chines are rounded like Alumacraft boats of the period. Not sure about the brace across the bottom in one picture and the top cap at the intersection of the chine and the transom looks like their's too. Alumacraft was popular in my boating circles at the time and I had a 12 footer with a 7 1/2 Merc. Largest I saw at the time was a 16 footer.
