The chines are rounded like Alumacraft boats of the period. Not sure about the brace across the bottom in one picture and the top cap at the intersection of the chine and the transom looks like their's too. Alumacraft was popular in my boating circles at the time and I had a 12 footer with a 7 1/2 Merc. Largest I saw at the time was a 16 footer.handles look like old alumacraft. transom has been modified (cut down)
can always use the CFR calculation to determine the maximum hp for a 18' tiller steer boat. just need the transom width.
transom looks to be about 4.5 feet wide and under 20", so ~ 35hp
