I have a 2004 Optimax 150 with block water pressure issues. When I try to get on the plane the guardian comes on and throttles back 9 times out of ten. The smart craft guages show 'H2O pressure' and a little engine symbol. The guage reads 0.00psi at idle.

Hi guys,
I need some ideas. My optimax 150 is getting a low water pressure alarm which in turns cuts in the guardian system. I have replaced the impellor and housing and there is heaps of pressure out the tell tale.
The sensor is reading 0 psi at idle and the mechanic did not try it a higher...

Looking at your pics, there is no support inside to keep the hull shape. My guess would be the stringers are shot. You will need to check them out as a priority.

The timber paling is screwed to each side to stop the gunnels sagging in.

Finally finished the boat. Took near on two years of weekends and so on but its worth it.
Have only had her at 45kts so far so be intersting to see what she tops out at.

I have finished the hull, fitted the engine and steering, and am currently on electrics.

Wrapped glass around the rounded transom to seal it off. Next I will mfinish off the gunnel at the back.
Floors finally in, nice and solid. I forgot to glass around the corner so sand off the gelcoat and get it done.

I will have a Tank under the deck that runs about 3/4 of the length of the boat:
Maybe a better option than my last idea as you have said is to put another 80L up in the nose with a quick disconnect into the underfloor tank?

1. I have calculated that I can get about 100L under the floor in my Haines hunter V17C boat. I have just gotten hold of a 150 opti and need more fuel storage. Has anyone got any ideas for fuel storage?
I was thinking about those boat seat boxes, I could get maybe 40-50...

Ok, heres the picture of the stringer location in the bow. You can see that there is a bend as it meets the keel at the front. Not a big one but enough to get me thinking.
Any ideas?

Well I finall cut the outer stringers and put them in. As the length from the transom to the forward bulkhead is 2550mm and I can only get lengths of marine ply at 2400mm I had to join the lengths. I went about 1000mm forward of the transom for the join.
