Hello All... Yet ANOTHER problem with the old motor.
1963 Johnson 75hp V4AL-15E. Tooling around the lake all morning, engine slips out of gear after 30 minutes or so of running wide open. It went back into gear and I was able to limp back to the dock, but as soon as I tried to go fast it...
Hey all... Yet another problem with the old motor...
Johnson 75 horse V4AL-15E.... Pretty slow at wot, and I only got about 30 minutes of running out of 10 gallons of gas (the trip ended in an $85 tow back to the marina after i got stuck in the middle of the lake).

Good call Joe.... I played around with the adjustment screw on the regulator and got it to stay in the 13.8 volts range. Working like a charm!
