    Mercontrol replacement?

    What are my options as a good but not too expensive controls to replace my tired old Mercontrol box. It would need to have a secondary/high idle lever along with the throttle/shift lever. Trim controls are optional I guess, as those can be placed elsewhere. The motor is a 77 Merc 115 horse.

    77 115 runs OK ot rabbit ears but has a hard time in the water

    I have a 77 115 that I just picked up. I ran it on a garden hose several times before attempting to put it in water and it seemed to run pretty well. Once we got to the lake it had a very hard time starting and when it did it seened to have a big miss and had trouble staying running? Any ideas?
