Bravo 2 outdrive not engaging when in gear

I think my buddy is now looking for a coupler in his driveway or in the front yard. I told him to look at the 30 gal trash tank filled up with beer cans and liquor bottles first. I hate when drunk people are trying to do stuff that they have no clue about and being helpful. It took me two hours...

Bravo 2 outdrive not engaging when in gear

The prop is not getting locked and spins in every shifter position. As for the loose coupler, that was my first question when i saw the lower unit in a pool of gear lube, if there are any missing parts. The answer was none, but since these two happy campers were already seriously filled with...

Bravo 2 outdrive not engaging when in gear

Unless the coupler was in the upper unit, there was none on the shaft. And i was kinda surprised that it did not take any alignment of the shaft with the coupler when connecting the lower unit with the upper unit. Or possibly the shaft was misaligned with the coupler, which is pretty much...

Quick guide for making a new seat cover and replacement of an old one piece PWC seatcover

Notice on purple seat i had to do a couple stitches on the back since i lost patience with stretching and heating it and just removed the corners for a better fit and sewed the angles. On Seadoo, teal comlor, did spend a couple extra minutes heating and stretching and got the same result.

Quick guide for making a new seat cover and replacement of an old one piece PWC seatcover

You can try to do the seat cover replacement on your own. Most of the older jetskies with one peace cover require only few simple steps: 1. Remove the old cover, you have to get a staple remover or struggle with a screwdriver or other tool that would do the job. Staple remover is definitely a...

Bravo 2 outdrive not engaging when in gear

My friend did not remove the whole outdrive, he just took off the lower unit, so im pretty sure this cable was not disattached. Is there anything that he and his drunk buddy could have moved/lost/misplaced when they dropped down the lower unit? Thank you

Bravo 2 outdrive not engaging when in gear

I promised my friend to help him replace the impeller in his water pump on Mercruiser 7.4 engine with Bravo 2 outdrive. Told him not to do anything until i come, but when i arrived, the driveway was knee deep in gear lube and the lower unit was for some reason unbolted and laying in a puddle of...

Should I buy a boat that has been sitting in storage for 15 years?

"The most expensive boat you can get is a free one" There is a chance of you getting a good boat but in my experience a boat that was sitting for over a decade will have a lot of problems and possibly not immediate. Which would either require you to do a lot of repairs and learning of how to on...

    1993 Polaris SL750 no spark

I just got an old polaris 1993 sl750 free with a trailer purchase. First thing we checked was compression and one of the pistons was dead with a big hole in it, i think it was #1. So i did replace the pison, honed the cylinder, assembled the whole thing. The worst part was an idiotic separator...

Kawasaki 900 zxi ,Top unit installation, piston rings keep slipping

Ive been trying to put a top unit of the Kawasaki 900zxi engine and had a really hard time with getting the second piston on. The rings are getting pushed down and dislodged, pistons are moving and getting misaligned. We tried to do it with my friend, but seems like the pistons should be first...

1994 SeaDoo SPi possible bad fuel problem

i had to replace the starter solenoid, since I turned it on and the starter kept spinning without ignition. At first I could not figure out why the cranking is going on, by the time I realized it was the starter going, almost smoked the battery and looks like smoked the starter. After I replaced...

1994 SeaDoo SPi possible bad fuel problem

I bought a 1994 Seadoo SPi. It was starting and running when I was testing it and afterwards every time I started it in the storage. Inside of th he engine compartment fuel smelled old, but I thought it wont be much of a problem since I was going to mix it with the high octane new fuel and use...
