    oil pressure

    My 1998 5.0 mercruiser when I purchased it had 10-30 oil in it and pressures were low at idle and aroud 40lbs at wide open throttle. I changed oil and installed straight 30w in it. Now at idle I have 35-40lbs and at wide open needle is at 80lbs. Is this right or too high? I am going to check...

    Ok guys now whats going on?

    I removed my carb for a rebuid and figured I would change the oil in the engine. Smell of gas in oil. What is causing this? 1998 5.0 with an electric fuel pump. Fuel pump was just changed. old one was electric too. Changed old one due to low pressure. Thanks in advance guys and girls

    I just need to know about how far I should have to move my shift lever before it actually should be putting drive into gear or move throttle on carb. It is a Quicksilver 88105A7 control. I have to move mine about 3-4 inches before it engages. thanks

    What prop should i use

    Fuel problem

    I forgot in my earlier post that When I went to fill my Tank at the pump(on land) I only got 1.2 galoons in it and it started to come out vent on side of boat. Any ideas? I ran the boat a few weeks before for about 2 hrs on Lake Clarke and Should ahve used alot more fuel than that with my 5.0.
