    Enertia prop questions

    I have a chance to pick up a 19" Enertia prop. Usually I run a TP 19" 4 blade aluminium prop and spin 4800rpm 47mph. Right now I have a 19" TP 3 blade on and it hits the limiter and runs 45mph. Thinking the Enertia should put me around 4700rpm. Does that sound about right ? Thanks for any help

    3 blade prop slower then 4 blade ?

    I usually run a Turning point 19" 4 blade . At 4800 rpm it hits 47mph on gps. Last weekend I purchased a 3 blade Turning point 19 and only hit 44mph at the same rpm. However I had to watch the tach as it easily climbed above 5000 rpm so I had to throttle back some so it wouldn't hit the limiter...

    Prop mystery

    My main prop that I use is a Turning point 4 blade 19" . When I punch it out of the hole it hits 3000 rpm and climbs. Will top out at 4900 rpm and 47mph on gps.     Prop slip numbers

    Took the boat out for the first time today and kept track of some numbers. First off I've got a 2004 Caravelle 187 4.3 GXI-E and a SX-M drive 1.79 ratio turning a 19" 4 blade Turning point prop. Was running at 3000 rpm speed 27mph on gps gives me a slip of about 10% brought her up to 4000rpm...

    Charging issues

    I have an 2004 4.3 GXI-E. Last year I noticed my amp gauge was showing 12 volts and would go up to 13.5 . It would do this through out the day. Just installed a new alternator today and gauge is showing just above 12 volts while running. Should it not be up around 13-14 volts while running ?

    With all the new technology

    When will a boat manufacturer make a automatic transmission ? This would sure take all the guess work out of selecting the right prop. And I'm sure they can do it . Would just come down to how much it would cost the consumer.
