    Idle adjustment

    Last month i bought a 81 140hp sport Evinrude.Engine runs great,but the idle is a bit low.The idle screw is already turned all the way in so i cant turn the idle up.Is there another adjustment or is something worn as to why the po owner has turned all the way in?Thanks for any help.

    Is there anyway to vacuum or pressure test one?To ensure that it is sealed and wont let water in.

    Prop spin in gear

    Sorry if this sounds stupid.With the engine in gear should you be able to spin the prop by hand without any resistance from the top end?I can turn mine in the forward direction easy but i cant turn it backwards.

    120 Chrysler no power

    The engine was running fine.No power from half to wot.I have cleaned carbs,checked timing 32 btdc.Compression is 130 on all 4 cylinders.New plugs good spark.Its got a magnapower iv ignition system with a pre-amp instead of points.I'm thinking it might be the reeds.Any help would be great.Thanks
