    Re: Buying Advice 25 horse Johnson on most motors there is a leaver that you push down then you pick the motor up so it catches the tilt pin doing this allows you to go threw shallower water heres a pic of mine in you can see how it picked it up

    1993 4.3 merc has a serpentine pump getting HOT!!!

    if i'm standing in the boat looking down at the motor on the serpentine delt drive; right side, bottom there is a pump of some sort that is getting really hot and real quick like too yes the muffs are on and pumping hard! noticed it getting hot so i shut it down quickly

    the claw like leaver that is suppose to let loose of the tilt pin when in drive wont let loose (if thats even how it works) ive looked for some way to get it loose and havent found any. so when i went threw the stump infested waters i had to put it into the shallow drive setting. which isnt bad...

    Re: why wont it go FASTER!!! i was thinking about putting a 1/2 inch or 1 inch pease of wood on top of the transom to lift it some. the top of my mount has a notch in it and i can fit something in it very snug it also has a bolt hole, but i want to make sure i have it at the right hight...

    hello everyone i own a 04 johnson 15 tiller handle on a 14.5 ft duracraft. my friend owns a 1978 evinrude on a 14 ft duracraft. he runs about 24 mph and mine runs 19 how is it that he is pulling away from me and what can i do to make it faster? 6 inches of alum cant make me run that much...

    fuel filters???

    can i install a in-line fuel filter like you see on lawnmowers between my tank and bubble or bubble and outboard??? will it need to be lower than the tank so the chamber part stays full of gas at all times?

    2003 johnson 15hp bumps and backfires

    i bought this motor about 3 months ago and its ran great the last few times ive taken it out but every now and them it bumps and backfires. tryed to get it to do it in the yard with muffs on but the stuck-up people across the street give dirty looks so its best if i dont smoak them out haha :D...

    Re: project: camo the duracraft 1st trip out was kind of ruff, nailed a deer with the truck/boat trailer on the way (thankfully it wasnt damaged). other than that all went well Jake got to get wet and the boat ran good.
