New fuel lines on inboard tank cannot prime!

Bulb is on the correct way. The water seperator is empty so i will try filling it up. What about unhooking the line right at the tank and pump gas through it from there. then hook it back up and run the motor to prime the pick up tube from the tank?

2008 yamaha motor key switch won’t alarm

I drained the tank with the key on and checked out the oil level sensor and strainer. I cleaned the strainer out and the alarm did go off once. I’m not getting any oil level on my new tachometer so I’m thinking the oil level sensor is bad. Am I missing anything or should I replace sensor?

2008 yamaha motor key switch won’t alarm

I have a 2008 90TLR 90HP. I tried testing the alarm with the kill switch pulled. The motor will turn over with NO ALARM. Also i installed new digital tach and oil sensor harness. When i turned key on the tach says my oil level is at lowest (No alarm here either) but reservoir is full. How to i...

2008 yamaha motor key switch won’t alarm

I was under the impression that when the key switch is turned to ON that the buzzer should beep and also when the kill switch is pulled with the key turned to ON the alarm is supposed to beep continuously. My switch does neither.

    Yamaha 2008 90TLR oil injection

I just purchased this motor. 105 compression on all cylinders. Are these readings low? Also i am new to these oil injection systems. How reliable are these? I am tempted to bypass and used pre mixed fuel.

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

I am on the fence here.... I have some expensive electronics and want to protect my batteries BUT on the other hand im concered about the VR failing on the water like you said. What can be done to make more reliable? Custom heatsink with thermal paste to keep from over heating? I might just...

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

I did install the sierra rectifier at first but i also installed an OEM regulator (part # 585195) under the flywheel in place of the bracket in the picture. Its a water cooled regulator. This part was never installed so i am assuming this motor/boat was never a regulated system. Once i installed...

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

should i test the installed OEM regulator out on the water even though im getting 16V at idle in driveway? Or install CDI regulator and test that one on the water? Is it bad to have them both wired up???

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

So just to be clear.....the regulator/rectifier in the link above will be installed where the existing Johnson rectifier is? Does it need a heat sink to help last longer? What about the water cooled regulator that I already installed that DID NOT fix? Also I am getting these voltage readings...

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

How bout this rectifier regulator combo from CDI? According to the reviews it has worked for a lot of people on older motors. I am just concerned about it overheating and burning out. Maybe make custom heat sink? CDI Electronics 193-3408 Johnson/Evinrude Regulated Rectifier - 2/3/4/6 Cyl...

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

I also notice on my bus bar wiring bracket on the motor that there is a jumper piece installed from 2 yellow/grey to 3 grey (check pictures below) but on the diagram cover it does not show one. Could this be my problem? Should I remove this? Also that’s old pic of wiring I have replaced all...
