Re: help wiring up chrysler motor Here are some more pics of the rest of the wiring on my 73 Chrysler 55hp, the 45hp is very smilar, and like I said the wiring on the motor now is from an 85 Force 50hp. It was a direct swap, so I am guessing the basic wiring and coloring did not change much...

Slight knock where should I start?

Re: Slight knock where should I start? Here are some pics of the case split. All the internals are gutted, pay close attention to the damaged areas and the hole in the main block. This is from a thrown rod. I found the cap jammed into a crevice in the case, I had to pry it out with vise grips...

Re: 1986 force50 hp w/45hp power head? How bad is the scoring on the "blown piston" cylinder? Did you compression check? Here is a pic of my 73 Chrysler with a melted piston. It still retained 125psi after this. I made sure the engine was clean of shavings or chips, then readjusted the carb to...

Hi folks, so I have my 55 Chrysler torn down to the bare block ready for some cleaning and fresh gaskets. My question is..... The upper piston was melted a bit last year from a lean carb, yet it retained 120psi all summer with massive damage. I pulled the powerhead to replace the upper bearing...
