    I am ready to order the carb kit and coils to try and get this 5.5 going. There is a rebuild kit here on Iboats that I am considering, and just below it is this kit for high and low needle packing. Is this needed in addition to the carb kit? If so what is it?

    I was given grandpas outboard. Its a model number JW-13 and from what I have found is a 3 hp. The question is the fuel. It says to mix in 30w motor oil at 1/3 pint to a gallon. Moving ahead out of the stone age, is there a 2 stroke mix I can use in place of 30w?
