    Just put a new carb on the boat and now I noticed the temp gauge will change after it warms up. If I bring the RPMs up to about 2000 the gauge will drop to cold engine reading. Bring it back down to idle and the gauge will slowly of jump right up to normal temp of go slightly into red zone...

    Need some basic information on how a trim pump works. My guess is that if motor spins in one direction the out drive will go up. Now if the polarity to the motor is changed the motor spins in the opposite direction and now the out drive will go down. Is that correct?

    If you take a look at the shore power panel there are 5 switches. One is marked converter. Anyone have a clue as to what a converter is ?

    Is that black box a power inverter? It has both batteries wired to it and 110 v AC input. When I plug in the boat to 110 AC the the refrigerator and air conditioner work but not off the batteries.

    Thanks a lot. You just reminded me that the guy who sold me the boat was bragging about how he just installed new bellows. Now if I ever get past this carb problem I going to be worried that I might have to swim home if he went cheap on the bellows! lol

    That explains a few things. It looks to me like I got really lucky my boat ran so great last year with that power valve piston looking the way it is. Unfortunately the rebuild kit i have didnt include that part. Fortunately thanks to Scott06 I found the part asap at Mikes carbs.
