And the color. A bit darker than what we were wanting, but still not bad.

Had a paint full weekend. Ran out of primer and paint. The top half needs one more final coat and the sides need to be primed.

    Starting from scratch

Trying to learn here. If the alternator is hooked up to the starting side of the ACR to maintain the start battery as a priority, and the ACR opens, that would mean that the start battery is the only battery getting a charge, per pic. Interesting article...ACR's Versus this pic of a circuit...

    Starting from scratch

The front bus bar is part of the fuse block for the front circuits. Where ever I pull power from, the neg will return to it. The two squares are battery selector switches for emergency starting from the house bank if needed, will not be connected otherwise. Haven't drawn the load center for...

    Starting from scratch

From what I am understanding is the loads that are hooked to a specific battery will use the charge from that battery. House loads will pull from the house battery and the start loads will pull from the start battery. However, if the batteries don't have a common neg the alternator won't...

    Starting from scratch

The stern light is the same as the "power boat under power" upper pic. So it looks like I will have to have all 4 lights on.

    Starting from scratch

I'll be mounting an anchor light on top of the console/t-top. The rear light is actually flush with the back of the transom and won't be able to be seen by someone coming from the front when anchored.

    Starting from scratch

Aren't the nav lights and the anchor lights three different lights? This is the way I'm understanding the nav/anchor lights, correct me if I'm wrong. Red and green on the front and a white one on the back for nav lights. Only time the nav lights are on are when the boat is underway? One white...

    Starting from scratch

This is a slight modification of a schematic I saw on a google search. It seems like a viable direction, but I just can't seem to believe that it is not a bit overkill. I'll be starting off with a 2 battery house bank and one starting battery in the system. Currently I have a 55A alternator...

1986 Brougham Bridger Yukon Delta Fishing boat renovation

Had a little break in working on the boat. The Admiral decided she want to go somewhere warm to avoid the 0-15 degree weather we were having. So a short 8 day adventure to Hawaii happened. It was a welcomed break from work as well. Gave me some time to work on the electrical sketches/plan I...

It sure does!! It's been a long road so far and still a ways to go, but at least we can see the end of the restoration. It may not be completely done by the end of March, but we are determined to splash it by then.

Sanding is now complete. Clean up, wipe down, and prep for paint booth set up has begun.

The sanding is coming to an end. We have about a 20" section of the forward keel to sand the repairs down and about a 3' x 4' area of the floor to sand down. When all is done, the bilge area will get another layer of gel coat on it as well. This is my hard working gf, partner in crime, and...

Thanks for the links, I'll be checking them out. Carpet was thought of for a brief moment, then the foam, then the bed liner. I do like the foam for the simplicity of it, just not the prices I was quoted at the show. The pattern for the front was done before we went to the boat show. My gf...

Went to the KC Boat show a week ago. Saw some really cool foam flooring called SeaDeck and I think AquaDeck....Quote for my boat....$3,000 to $3,500. No way in hell. It's getting some roll in bed liner...red neck style. Did see a couple of Pursuit boats...Show special pricing...$389,000...

    Pulling Engines and Gantry Built

I thought about it, decided if If it looked like I needed it then I would add it. So far, nothing I've had swinging from it felt like I needed the angled bracing. However, when I get ready to put it back on the trailer with the motor in it, I will probably add them anyways.

Make them stout. I've used mine for pulling motors, boat cap, removing the boat from the trailer.

Been out of town for work for a couple of weeks. My gf finally got all of the gorilla duct tape off of the boat. We now have a new found respect for gorilla tape. Anyways, the console is now sanded with some of the holes filled and a new hole for switches. Before After
