    looking at a 79 merc black max v6 150 hp. were these good engines ?? have any known issues ? i was told that the mercs do not have a removable cylinder head so if it would ever need bored it may be hard to find a shop to do the work because of boring a blind hole. any comments on that ? also...

    i have seen upto a 22 foot ss but how big did the ss line go ? and how big can you get an ss and still have an outboard motor ? how about converting an i/o to an outboard ?? to much work involved ??
