    Why are impellers....fragile?

I didn't want to hijack that other thread, but for a part this so integral to a motor, why do they make impellers so fragile? From my understanding it's not exactly 'easy' to get to, they can burn out in an instant, needs replacing either annually or every two years. If it fails, you are...

    Repair Manuals

    1. Are the repair manuals offered in the stickies the same as this repair manual offered from the iboat store? 2. It looks like it, but I want to confirm, does this manual from the iboat store cover both the motor and outdrive? I've downloaded and read the pertinent to me parts of the manuals...

    re-sellers on ebay

I'm bidding on some gps units lately. I don't have a long history with ebay, but it looks like I'm being out bid by resellers. It's an open market and I guess they can do as they please, but it's annoying that the only competition on a particular item are re-sellers when "I want a gps!"

This morning....again, my wife's 1996 Volvo 850 didn't start. I've replaced the battery on this thing numerous times. It will be fine for months, then suddenly it will be completely dead. This seems like I've left a light on or something, but I've turned off the hood and truck lights and we...

What's going on with my shore line?

There seems to be a subterranean water flow below our property. It's hard to see how thick that ice is on the shore from the pics and not knowing the shore in the summer. The deck on the shore is typically 4 feet above the water, the ice is nearly level at the moment. It's squeezing through...

Why not have a soliciting/wanted/looking for section?

I just read the thread of the guy looking for a Starcraft windshield. From an outside view it makes sense to look to a place like this to find vintage parts. How about the the various people looking for a new (used boat) or various other boat items. What's the danger of having a free for all...
