    Re: engine years Thats the same rectifier. I am thinking the same thing the power head has been changed along with the harness. i am having trouble hooking up the tach and the trim gauges. Do I just run a wire from the tach "s" to the gray rectifier wire? find the trim sender and wire it...

    Re: engine years I just took this pic of my rectifer with the part number attached On ebay this part number only goes to 95. 96 and up is the part number you provided. the cowl number is J150PLEES So i am a little confused on the year of my engine.

    Re: engine years I can't find anything with a J150 before it. under the cowling it has a 99 on it. the engine has a 8 pin red connector in the engine. I am not sure if this was added as I got the boat whie it was under going a re wire vro disconnect.

    Re: 1999 johnson 150 guages not working I have found this online its showing the gray wire going to the engine and spliced to go to the tach so the ring terminal will have to be cut off and joind back to the harness then spliced to the tach also shows that black wire going from the check...

    Hi guys I recently bought a 1999 stratos 273 vindicator with a 150 johnson I am pretty sure this boat was a repo and the ignition switch is new. My problem is none of my guages are working. they have power to the lights in them and the fuel guage will move a tiny bit when the ignition is turned...
