    '89 90HP EV - Stator and Rect/Reg bench testing - please point me to some posts

    I'm doing this because something killed a new battery and a new tachometer. I have flywheel off. I assumed problem was Rectifier so I got a used 35 amp off Ebay. Should have got a new CDI 9 amp for a little more but too late. Any posts or advice on this situation ? thanks

    Which rectifier for an Ev 1987 90HP (E90TLCUR)

    I guess I got to move flywheel to replace rectifier/reg on '87 Ev 90 HP

    It does suck. Once I get big nut off, will there be enough play so I can get the back rectifier bolts out or will I still need a flywheel puller ? What is that nut size? I know its bigger than 1 1/4"

    OVERHEAT IN DRIVEWAY - my solution

    I had changed everything out and still had problems. My situation was solved by using a bigger container that would get the water a good bit over the CAVITATION PLATE, at least an inch. Not sure why. Just know I probably wasted a lot of time looking for a problem that probably did not exist.

    OK, what did I do wrong now ? Changed water pump but NO NEUTRAL.

    Any test I can do before taking it all apart again ??? If I disengage throttle cable and push shifter assembly in should prop spin freely ? While cable is connected it does not. Pretty sure it is something stupid.
