    IF.. that is the only piston that shows "symptoms" I would remove the carb. / Intake and from that end remove the end-cap of that particular piston/rod. and see ???

    Yes, it can turn over with seized rings & if it spins with the plugs out.....seems to me that you have a weak starter and/or bad wiring/connections/ground

    Jerry, I think Dunbar meant a 3-way/pole switch set-up like in a house A regular on/off/on spring loaded switch does the job, the switch controls the relays

    Some models had a trim-switch @ the Cowl & you can just hook it in parallel No need for additional wiring to Helm

    On a 4-stroke when the valves timing is off, yeah maybe On a 2-stroke?? I can only see this happening if the (intake reeds are seized solid/melted-on???) but then it would be in a scenario as your post #5

    IF the motor is not for a looooong time in the water; NO OR shave down the Anode Yup, just the two screws and wiggle off the shaft.
