    Dark drive fluid

    After draining the drive fluid on my B3's I noticed that it is darker than the green color it usually is and more of a black color. No metal or water. Had no issues with it this season and put a 100 hours on it. Should I be concerned?

    Can anyone explain to me how this system works 2 different filters in a housing. What is the purpose of each? Where does the water collect? Do these filters last longer than 1 season?

    Smartcraft trim guage

    1 of my trim gauges reads 2 when it's all the way down. That drive is in the same position as my other drive that reads 1. Is there a way to adjust it?

    B3 shift cable

    ! of my engines shifts very hard, forward and reverse. Is there a way to know for certain if the shift cable is the culprit. Shifts pretty smoothly if I push the neutral button.

    Too good to be true?

    Bought a Merc distributor cap on line, on the cheap. Guy says it's genuine merc and the pkg sure is. But the cap has aluminum posts and has no # on it. Do all merc caps have brass ? PN 8m0060495

    Pulsing idle when cold

    winterizing single point

    2006 twin 5.0's. 1 of the engines water pumps has the 2 blue plugs resting against a stringer.No joke trying to pull that pump. Thinking about draining as much as I can thru the single point method, then adding antifreeze thru the seacock strainer while running it. Any comments?
