    Replacing/Repairing 1968 StarCraft Islander Bow Hatch/Hinges

Your best bet is to find someone on a group that has one, the Starcraft aluminum boats FB group has numerous sawzall savant savages that tear their Islanders and Chiefs to pieces in order to have an open tub to hunt ducks or fish from. These people may save some of the parts to share with those...

Were Star Trek V's just not that popular

The perfect combo, a 3 cyl JohnnyRude 70 on a nice light little tinny. Yeah don't trash the CC, someone would be interested in it for sure.

Sacrificial anodes on an aluminum hull - Advice needed

Not ever had an anode attached to my Al hull, just the motors / outdrives. You would want to have one if mooring the boat for extended periods of time where there's shore power out to the moorings.

    1992 SFM190 Max Weight Aft?

You could always add more weight, to the bow that is. A bow mount electric makes for more versatility in your fishing boat. My 80# thrust Minn Kota weights in at 90lbs and there's 2 x gp 27 batts for it up there too with onboard charger.

TON of questions about Starcraft Islander (22' - 1968) upgrades, modifications, etc. :)

Before any removal and upgrades of deck covering, is your current decking rotten and needing replaced? Not covering a boat after spending time and money will result in the interior being ruined no matter. Case in point all the old fiberglass boats we get for donors are derelict being rotted out...

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

A month missing is nothing around here, most times guys just up and disappear for years, sometimes for good.

    The 1986 Starcraft SS180

The Jasco 5 min was the bomb, that's been replaced now locally with 15 min which takes more work and heat. Tough to tell where your at on the boat work but stripping bare is the way to go for a new paint job if that's what you have planned.

    Late 60s/early 70s StarCraft 16’ - Mariner OB shifting/idle problems

Welcome aboard, nice little holly. (y) High idle on OB motors is normally due to either cable adjustment, controls or the cable itself. I would pull the cover and look at the idle lever to see if it is seating down on the stop or hanging up short causing the high idle which would also cause the...

'74 Holiday 18 Restore Mod.... Convert to open bow.

With new decking, side panels, transom and new fasteners the risk of further issues goes down. Those areas of the hull have been weakened by work hardening as have the spray rail chines even though the areas haven't suffered a failure by splitting or cracking. That is why I added the braces to...

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

After doing stripes on a couple boats and a swoosh, I prefer not to do the swoosh ever again, very difficult and time consuming. Those double hockey sticks look even more imposing to my meager painting talent.
