    Sorry nope that’s not the right one…you should have an Alpha stern drive and that impeller is for the engine mounted Bravo drive system unless you happen to have an engine mounted water pump which is usually on lower side of the Chances of having but not impossible either.

    You you’re destroying the rubber impeller which is located in the stern drive.., by running the engine through the flush system the impeller is not getting the needed water which it needs to cool the impeller and up to the engine… that’s why it’s overheating.

    Chances are after this type of service work the distributor housing Assembly isn’t “phased in” correctly as there is a special process to reinstall the distributor assembly and or the distributor cap has been compromised/damaged to where it won’t run correctly now...

    Doesn’t sound like the correct temperature sensor was disconnected/tested if it had the boot as that one should had been the temp gauge… The sensor on the T/housing with 2 wires (Yellow & Black) would be part of the warning horn system.
