    Those carburetors are NOT SENSITIVE at all.----Very simple and reliable.-----But if carburetor bowls ( plastic ? ) are warped you may see issues.

    There is only ONE DRIVE COUPLER.-----Perhaps one of the check valves is stuck.-----And no it does NOT need to be installed on a motor to see tilt and trim rams moving to their limits

    When they assemble a new motor is with hundreds of tested / inspected parts.----No different when you are inspecting / refurbishing a motor that is 30 years old.

    That is correct.----A GM inline 6 model.------Many ( not all ) had issues with structure under the floor.----Boat appears to have been looked after.
