    1978 22' V5 Super Sport CC

That's how I did it. I used a couple 2x4 with clamps for the flip. I think I used a couple blocks or screws to keep the hull shape in place once flipped so the hull wouldn't contorted as I worked on it, but can't remember for sure. SHSU

That is the best kind of First Mate, bringing the captain a beer!! When you go to do the coat it, make sure you do a scuff and wipe down before applying. Need to get the little coat of oxidation off for a good adhesion. That being said, good progress and way to go on convincing the park...

I didn't buy a ATS rivet gun, but a used airplane rivet gun will also do the trick. As @Mikesta suggested, I went with a x4 to drive 1/4 rivets too. You do have to be a little careful with the 3/16 rivets, but after some practice and dialing in your air pressure it will be easy. SHSU

The novice build: 1968 Starcraft SuperSport V-16 "The Boat"

That is impressive!!!! How did you secure them to the boat? I may have to look at doing something similar. SHSU

    1974 Starcraft SS16 Restortation

@FIGMO , Yes, all the time, but as @mattsteg pointed out I needed a bigger garage to go that route. Admiral said "NO" and I couldn't convince myself to pay to store it somewhere else. I just have to drool and look on in envy at the guys with huge shops or work areas to do their boat projects...

The novice build: 1968 Starcraft SuperSport V-16 "The Boat"

If you are having a hard time removing with a grinder and wire wheel then I would leave it and paint over it. Can't beat that kind of adhesion to aluminum. The black stuff is probably easier to adhere to then aluminum anyways. SHSU

    1974 Starcraft SS16 Restortation

lol Ya, I found I had so many grand ideas but not enough boat for them all. I too did not have any permanent underwater lights. I just have flood lights and a green light I can throw over the side. Still great work!! SHSU

The novice build: 1968 Starcraft SuperSport V-16 "The Boat"

A lot of mixed advice on the hull leak test. That being said maybe I can help add some more confusion. ;) Preferred method as suggested by many: Take to a body of water and launch. Make sure to take enough weight to help get the hull down as it will ride high being empty. Circle each...

You going to run electrical for your trailer lights before you put the hull back on? Trailer looks nice!! SHSU

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

Something satisfying about seeing a hull all cleaned up. Love it when the boats start going back together for a better life!! I see you salvaged a fuel tank, where you planning on putting that? SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

I didn't have Clecos, but I used some bolts every ~5-10 depending on the area. As for 5200, I used a glob on every rivet we replaced. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

I just realized this is a SS16, for some reason I thought it was a SS18 which is why I had comments for adding the support. I didn't add any extra side supports. Think that is mostly for the V5s and such. Would need @Watermann to confirm on his recommendation. SHSU

Don't leave the pop rivets in, you should replace them know as they will fail in the future. I know its a pain, but its worth doing it right the first time. As for the rivets you drove, ya they looked better as you go further down. So those lower ones you had less air. I found that as well...
