    1974 Starcraft SS16 Restortation

No worries. As for vent size, you could always use a couple roof eve vents. Cheap and easy to get your hands on. Just need to make sure they are aluminum or some form of plastic. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Only by accident, I have been in some rough water (4ft seas) in Galveston bay. It was not a fun return, just really glad with all the extra work we did and didn't have any issues. Something to say when you are in the bottom of a wave and the next one is over your head in a boat.... Lets just...

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

Man a single afternoon!!!!! It took us about 3 months to get through all of ours. I wish I had thought about the duct tape idea, that would have helped with all the mess we had. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Always amazes me, people ask for advice from those who have done it and then decide to ignore it. I will admit I had my fare share of doing my own thing, but structural support isn't something to mess with. SHSU

    16’ Starcraft restoration

Yes, need to keep that area clear so any water can drain to your bilge. As for the HIN, traditionally its a rivet Aluminum plate on the back of the Transom. If you can't find it, then my guess is its gone. SHSU

I agree with @sidingguy, most likely livewell hardware. If not going to use, just patch. That way you don't worry about any plug coming undone on you SHSU

I went with .125 for all my aluminum I bought. Agree maybe overkill but worth the piece of mind. SHSU

Are you looking to use them at any point or just permanently plug? If so, then may want to think about just doing a patch on both sides. SHSU

Before you go that route, do a pressure test to see if there are any leaks as is. If there aren't any leaks, then that opens different options. I would explore JB weld or similar. Best, but also riskiest, would be to have someone "add" some additional material via welding. Again, that is the...

HF engine lift!!! That was a major helper durring my project too. As for the holes, you can figure it out once you drop it in for dry fit. A common problem all Starcrafts it seems So you will have to remove the ribs that are running along the interior of the bow to get to all of the rivets...

1982 Starcraft Center Console 18' Rebuild

I used a rubber mallet. Most of the forming I did off the hull. I would test it, see where I needed to bang it some more and go back and forth. Plus if the patch is exterior and you are underneath trying to hammer up, doesn't sound effective or fun... SHSU
