Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... What vintage is the original motor,.....
Fix the fuel delivery issue, as it looks like you detonated that one to death,....
Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... As I mentioned over at that other forum,.... Look at the lower shift cable, where it crosses the exhaust y-pipe,....
Hot enough, that cable melts, 'n acts funky or binds up tight,...
Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Is this on the hard, or in the water, runnin' across the pond,..??
The point where the head meets the manifold is Always hot, as that point is solid cast iron, no water jacket,.....
Ayuh,..... One way to do it is, put some relief cuts into it, 'n bust it out,....
'course, then you need a new one to put it back together,....
If it was put together without a coating of perfect seal, they tend to grow together over time,....
Ayuh,..... No kiddin',..... I've always just hung the motor, dropped in the rear bolts, slid in the alignment bar, 'n drilled the front holes,....
When necessary, wood shims to get the motor high enough to align,....
Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... Bein' a '59, it most likely has no serial number, 'n I doubt you'll find parts such as a glove box,....
Stuff like that, you build yer own,...
