    Signs of bad pour foam

Hard to say, if it was bad batch of foam. You mentioned 80˚ F temperature. Was that the outside temperature? Was the foam liquid stored at 80˚ F? . . . or were the A & B liquids colder? Was anything else (boat, etc) colder? Typical 2# foam should give you about 20 seconds of mixing time...

    In dash GPS speedo?

I always use the GPS for speed, don’t even hook up the pitot speedo.

Runs great on muffs but not in lake

There are so many threads like this . . . 'runs great in the driveway' . . . running an engine with no load means nothing. I would suspect the carburetor (it is carbed, right?) What was done, if anything, to the carb during the rebuild?

Twin Merc. 6.2 Mags with Bravo 3 - EMCT Temperature Overheat Fault - Port side Manifolds (Only)

Nice work on replacing the exhaust. A raw water cooled engine in salt water is going to have a limited life span. Getting 9 years out of the exhaust is a good run. At some point, the engine block want some attention. 15-20 years on the block in salt water is a good run as well. On your next...

1990 ish Evinrude 25 HP - Screeching from the controls

The boat is a 13 foot Whaler . . . barely gets out of the harbor 🤪

    Wet hull

Sure. . . See if there is condensation on the hull in the morning hours

1990 ish Evinrude 25 HP - Screeching from the controls

No worries- I’ll run it to take it out for the season. I probably will do a barnacle buster flush to dissolve some salt, then see about the impeller. Salt water .

    Docking outboard stern to dock

No anchor . . . bad idea  What is there to tie dock lines to? just the stern?

1990 ish Evinrude 25 HP - Screeching from the controls

Quick Update, while the boat was sitting at the dock today with the engine idling, the alarm went off. At higher RPMs it is fine. So, looks like an impeller replacement is in the engine's near future

    Marine Surveyor Wanted

SAMS or NAMS websites to search for a marine surveyor in your area. Usually the surveyors will have leads for mechanical inspectors, if they aren't already working with such. You can google their names to see if there are any reviews of their work on boating forums.

    Solar Power Installation . . .

Gremlins are gone now that I’ve connected the house battery and the inverter batteries together.

    Anchor stuck for 2nd time

It seems like it happens with lake boating since there can be so many obstacles on the lake bottom. I assume that you will see if you can get the anchor to 'spin around' by pulling it in the opposite direction that it was set.

    Simple Wiring Diagram

If they are all hooked up to the same switch, then you would not have the anchor only option, but it may not be an issue for your boat and its usage.

The white light is the stern light, and often the anchor light is used for the same purpose.

    Solar Power Installation . . .

Quick Update: I’ve been away from the boat for about 10 days. The solar charging system and the 7 batteries were sitting at 14.0 volts when I checked on the boat today 😀. It’s really nice not having to worry about depleted batteries when you are away for a while. Now, if I can just get the...

    Engine running 🔥

No . . . the Bravo will suck water out of the hose if it needs to. You can certainly run at idle speeds on the hose/muffs and even up to about 1200 RPM with no worries. I've been running them on the hose for about 18 years and 3 different boats with Bravo's Be careful what you are told.

Concerned about Hull Config / Cramped Engine Bay

You probably need to be buying a bigger boat to get more engine bay space. Don't worry about extra labor from a mechanic, they are going to charge you for more hours than it actually took anyway 🤪

    2003 Chaparral 230ssi - Rotted Foredeck Question

I can't get over the exposed wood that I see in the guts of Chaparral boats. (as can be seen in the video). Maybe that lets the wood get rid of its moisture, as opposed to encapsulated wood, but there must be a better way. I was thinking of buying a 327 SSX, but the cabin design was n ot...

    Cabin Light Replacement Signature 310

How many Chaparral owners does it take to screw in a light bulb . . . j/k :ROFLMAO: See if you can get the flange of the light fixture to turn about 1/8 of a turn (can't remember which way though) The flange should release and you will have access to the bulb. If you merely pry the flange...

1986 Four Winns Santara Touch-Up Paint

No . . . :ROFLMAO: How do you know it is paint? Might be gelcoat. How faded is the boat from the original color? Your best bet would be to try to do a color match, either a paint or gelcoat. Here is a link to a website, looks like automotive paint, but it might have something. Keep in...
