    Vibration TurningPoint 4 blade

I would have vibration with the VP props if it were bent would think. I have the correct hub based on everthing I've researched. Its only noticable at low to medium rpm with the 14.5 by 17. The 15 by 15 was more so but not at high rpm. I don't understand it really.

    Vibration TurningPoint 4 blade

Anyone use Turning Point 4 blade props? The ones with two different blade geometies per hub. I'm on my second one in search for correct loading at WOT. Both have a vibration issue. The 15 by 15 was worse than the 14.5 by 17. My VolvoPenta 3 and 4 blade props don't generate a vibration that I...

Update to using Toilet bowl cleaner for hull and bottom

You could use muratic acid and dilute it down to 10 % hydrochloric acid concentration. Might be even cheaper.

John Allmand - SuperNova19 video restore

If the wood stays dry it seems it would last indefinately. My previous two boats had plenty of wood and were always covered and thats a big part of it.

I/O Exhaust Riser life in Fresh Water environment

The oil always looked fine. I sold that boat about 3 years back now. It was running fine. If you ran it for extended period at WOT it had a very faint sounding crank knock afterward at low to idle rpm. Once it cooled down or ran at anything other than WOT rpm it didn't make a sound. I...

    Overweight motor

You could bandaid it by putting really large motorized trim tabs and fight for control between the rpm, tilt and tabs to get level attitude.

I/O Exhaust Riser life in Fresh Water environment

Thats good to hear. Our first boat back in early eighties had the 140 hp 4 cyl mercruiser with close to a 1000 hrs and we, my dad mostly, never even knew it was a thing to be concerned about. That was a tough motor/stern drive as we ran the crap out of it and did well to get oil changed...

John Allmand - SuperNova19 video restore

Nice work. Do you have the option to not use wood in a restore like this or is there no full synthetic that works in a place like stringers etcc.?

    Best Phone App for Charts

The last time boating on the coast at 3-4 yrs back to Manteo with my lake boat required something better than just staying in channel and 'does that look deep enough'. Found and app called MX Mariner and it work really well for free on an android phone. I imagine it is availabe for iphone. If...

    Water to impeller

Make sure your muffs are tightly gripping and are lined up squarely on top of intake ports on lower unit. You can bend muffs together before installing to make sure you get a tight fit. After install I make sure water hose is cut full open so you've got lots of water available and that its...
