I have never found roll pin punches to be that precise or accurate in the diameter. I would go with a 1/8" if you have one and be done. If that should be to big (.007" difference) then use a 3/32.
All of my Bimini tops have been adjustable by mounting them on a sliding rail and have adjustable straps to hold them in position, so never had one that snapped into position.....
Many thanks to a few folks that helped me get back on board again !
Due to some technical glitches, I have not been able to log in here, but some kind folks fixed that issue. Thanks again.....
Often thought about adding a support but never have damaged one.....yet..!
Mine has the carbon fiber shaft with the supposed lifetime warranty against breakage.
Check around the local old car clubs, most have an upholstery guy that does extra work on the side for pocket money. These guys are usually far cheaper than anyone with a " boat or marine" in the name. I have used these guys a few times and their work has been very good and prices was right...
After reading about the great batteries from TimeUSB , I ordered one to replace my 6 plus year old LA batteries. Getting nervous as no response after placing my order. My CC was charged and getting off the wall emails that mean nothing. Was supposed to receive tracking info within 24 hrs of...
In the great lakes area, there are a number of boat salvage yards. Better off getting a nice used lower unit, even if the engine is trashed, a good housing is easier to rebuild.
On my boat, it is the house battery where you get voltage between the battery and hull, nothing from the start battery nor the trolling motor batteries.
Finding that sweet spot takes small adjustments and no moving around, but when you find it.....the boat will wag from one side to the other all by itself, look me a ghost is doing the steering !
Years back when I had my Islander, we had a long canal ride out to the big lake. The canal was very protected, idle speed only and no wind or waves. When taking folks for their first ride on my boat, I would find that sweet spot and allow the boat to wander from side to side without touching...
What about Mercs? I have been thru all the wiring, nothing is grounded to the hull ! Has to be the motor. Not sure anything can be done about it and no issues, appears to have been that way since 1992....
Have the same issue, been thru everything, only ground is thru the outboard motor. I added a cutoff switch for piece of mind on both battery terminals. It has not caused an issue for me, no sign of any corrosion at all. My boat is a 1992, all aluminum transom, no wood, not sure if that has...
