    Prop Question... Bayliner BR185

you are getting good advise, especially since"propping" can get expensive Important question, is your WOT@4600 with a loaded boat or a number with just you. On paper, the basics are: Reducing a blade count, decreasing pitch, and decreasing diameter .....everything else equal ( including...

    Which battery is best?

to the OP: I like this guy. Worth a listen. report is 4 years old, and not marine battery, however. I go well over the 3 year warranties on my everlasts, but I do "maintain " them. My 2021 Merc outboard,115hp, stated battery requirement was 1000 CA, so I'm headed into my 4th year with that new...

George Foreman gone but will never be forgotten!!

sigh, yes, sad. what a boxing era I grew up in! ABC's Wide World of Sports, every Sat. afternoon to begin with. Now all my "great's" are gone. Ali, Frazier, Foreman. Life lessons learned from each, get knocked down, get back up. Stand up for what you believe, stay true to yourself. I've learned...

    alaska cruise

retired pilot here also. GA and part 135 operations accident rates not very good at all. Cruises- all inclusives are nice. Again, cabins with balconies, especially exterior, are worth the money.

    alaska cruise

an alaska cruise , just for the scenery itself, is on my list. Try to spend the xtra money for an exterior cabin with a porch. cabins are not big. It was nice having an "outdoor" morning coffee place. but then, might be too cold 🫤

yes....life...kinda sad. I came across an '02 searay 240 sundancer 2years ago. Immaculate. Second owner purchase in '02. It spent it's entire life on a lift at owner's home when not used. 300 hrs +/-. Anyway, I asked why selling and he said wife was sick (yes, she was) and the grandkids had...

    under skinning

comments. Thinking about under-skinning my pontoon. Standard practise material is .065 marine grade (whats the difference) aluminum sheets. I've stumbled across alumicore panels. Available in 3mm, 5mm, 10 mm. It sure appears that a 3mm alumicore sheet would be superior to a .065 sheet. Easier...
