    Here's a picture, after cleaning the crud it does appear to have a nylon disk in the socket. Probably could use a bit of silicone lubricant.. Watcha think?

    Never had a boat with pedestal seats, this one does and they don't seem to have any bearing but just aluminum to aluminum..is there a bushing missing?

    Most all carb engines require pumping after sitting for a while..10 seems accessive tho.. sometimes it helps to set throttle about half way rather than at idle..

    I see screw heads, that's how they stop leaks in a dike. Remove the screws and follow @tpenfield's advice...

    Yea I guess, or dig a ditch and back the trailer into it. Once the motor is swinging from the tractor you can put it wherever you want..

    Clear hose

    Just posting back, I found the input hose was brittle at the thermostat housing but still soft and plyable an inch up stream so being shade tree, I cut the crispy end off and plugged it back on...I have a piece of clear and may put it in this winter but for now I will enjoy the summer..

    A few diagonals and that should work fine. What's with the joist system Could you use the tractor, that might even be better..
