    Upgrading from 70hp to 90hp

that boat is only 16' long not only does the placard list max hp, it also implies a max motor weight limit. So a 2 cycle,70 hp johnson weighs 250lbs. A 75 hp 2000 model 2 cycle can't weigh much more. 4 cycle motors weigh more in comparison. How much does that 90 weigh......just stuff to consider...

    Smartcraft gauge questions

this is what I installed...I did not install the speedometer.... additional sensors are needed to get all the data available, which I didn't install. I don't have: tilt, outside water or air temp, no gps, no oil temp, a few others I can't remember.....

Palm Beach bought by Premier Marine? Launching and recovering advice.

so...adding a front bimini.....just fyi... my double bimini actually zippers together in the middle...I can just use the rear by itself, but not the front......but it's factory installed... So yours may not have a zipper ....even if it does, aftermarket could still be hit or miss..........the...

Palm Beach bought by Premier Marine? Launching and recovering advice.

I have a 24' '06 lowe pontoon. It is laid out exactly as your pic. My sundeck on the back flips up for access to the batteries and fuel tank. It also allows the built in "changing room" to pop up. Does yours have that? If so, you should be able to add a porta potty to the changing room as I did...

    1972 Cathedral Trihull Prop Size

according to what I've learned, mostly on here, if you go to a 15x19 from your 14x19, your rpm is gonna drop even further at wot...like another 200 rpm.... every change on a prop affects the final max rpm.... number of blades, pitch, diameter, and material..... I don't quite understand the...

pontoon strakes do I need to lower the motor, prop?

yep, the strakes did their job. Lowering the motor is the next fix. It can be surprising what difference 11/2, 2 inch drop can make...

    2018 Suzuki 115A on a 24 ft Lexington Pontoon...what prop size

there's a propping sticky on here that you should look at first. 3 blade, 4 blade?...it all makes a difference... What is the recommended rpm operating range of your 115 suzuki? I'm willing to bet that 4800 rpm is not recommended at full throttle....your lugging your motor.....

    More power

what everyone else is saying. Should be a sticker next to the captain's chair stating what max size motor can be installed. Yes. you can hang a bigger motor but your overstressing the transom and gambling on upsetting the balance...... My 24', '06 Lowe pontoon achieved around 20 mph with the...

    Tritoon speed verses rpm

you're at WOT and 3500 rpm? It's not the speed of the boat you should be concerned about, it's your motor. Your lugging it excessively. you need to prop that motor to get it into recommended operating range, then let the speed be what it's going to be....

    Speed Plateaus at 5200rpm

yeah...frustrating as heck....nice looking boat, ready to enjoy except for this... I wouldn't want holes in a new av plate.... owning a pontoon boat for a while coupled with some trial and error learning curves and reading about pontoons, the general consensus concerning 4 blade props is that...
