    I've not ever removed it but my guess is that there are probably some nuts on the inside that need to be held while turning the screws..I just had a connection come loose on mine...

    On my 95 SR 220 the horn is in the anchor locker on the port bow... there's a oval shaped grill mounted over it..

    Replace the cockpit access cover with a piece of grating, teak or expanded metal. The poor motor needs to breath and I also bet it gets pretty hot in there..

    Put a new core plug in it, cheap oil in the crank case and then give it a go. With a water supply to the drive, if the oil pan fills with water you have your project... A replacement engine..

    Well I believe you guys have a project..2 gals of water say's it probably wasn't winterized. Try the cheap oil and a few changes, you might get lucky..

    Your best bet is to find someone who has some experience and can help you with the rigging . Most sailors will be happy to share information.. The gel coat will buff out pretty well from what I see in your photo.. You'll need to get it off the trailer to re paint the swing keel.. Looks like fun!
