I have a similar boat. Mines an Offshore. Bought a rotted donor boat with a perfectly good 3.0L. I only needed the gimbal housing which had a price on ebay of $500. So I paid $700 for the running boat and will install the entire 3.0L alpha one in my boat…. Point is your in this project for...

Flex Seal on a Leaky Aluminum Boat?

Gluvit is superior to coat it in a way because it’s rated and designed for boats. Coat it is basically the same thing but is actually marketed as a roofing patch sealer

    StarCraft Identification

I’m not aware of a 16’ Holiday. As far as I’m aware they did a 14’ Holiday which is totally different. A 16’ Jet or Jet star depending on year and then the 18’+ Holidays which pretty much look like that. It should have an information tag right by the helm.

Holiday 18-22’. My photo to tape measure spidy sense isn’t working today. I’ll guess it’s 18’. Don’t buy without paperwork unless your state has a way to obtain it

    Bimini install measurements?

I mounted it probably wrong but it works. The rear supports don’t allow the geometry for it to fold. I installed it entirely with it in the up position. It works but I should probably fold it and re mount the rear support brackets so it will fold But I will never run with it down or trailer it...

This is a small 3 bow. And my windshield is acrylic so there’s no attaching to that

    Bimini install measurements?

How do I measure to install the Bimini. Do I just put it where I want, measure one side and then match the other? I bought a cheap Bimini to make my wife happy and not sun burn on our trip down the canal this weekend . The instructions are useless. I assembled it watching a YouTube video. It’s...

Are Force OBs as good as others?

Yes. I meant he sold it. He used the funding from the sale. for capital to save the company. I forget what brand of cars he imported at first but French possibly. They became the Horizon and Omni. It’s actually a good read what he did. I read the article that Allpar has on his success a few...

    . . . and I Thought Hi-tech Boat Engines Were Bad . . .

I’ve never wrenched on a BMW much. But seems I remember someone who loves them saying the modules need to be registered to the car via dealer software. That can be required with a battery change, so if some lost power it could mean a trip to the dealer

Are Force OBs as good as others?

when Brunswick bought Chrysler they branded them Force. Eventually they started branding them Force by Mercury in the 90s. Any OEM parts will be branded Mercury but are Force specific except some Mercury gear cases were adapted in the late years right before the end.

Are Force OBs as good as others?

As good as an old Johnson or a Merc if you can turn a wrench. They are old designs dating to the late 50s but. If you can do it yourself it’ll run forever

Cant break in suzuki 2.5 on mariner 4?

Did you extend the support poles? I had a Hangkai 3hp on a seahawk 3 and I would have lost the motor without the extended support poles. A gas motor is really too heavy on one of those blow up boats. They really just need an electric motor
