Buy now or wait until Black Friday?

I buy work socks once per year from the big blue mart on a black Friday deal. They never sell out so I go sometime that week and don't get stuck in a crazy store. The only black Friday deal I have ever gotten

    No Spare Tire Included!

We have a general 'guess' in the shop, that if the spare is on when the vehicle rolls in, the tire is probably junk. 80% of the time that holds true. As for the rental Jeep, it's probably within the terms of service somewhere that you are to call for roadside service ( BS ) in the event of a...

    No Spare Tire Included!

Many cars do not come with a spare, and it does not suprise me that FCA decided to eliminate the spare on that.... For vehicles with normal tires, the excuse is that it saves weight for CAFE standards, but really it's about cost. The can of fix a flat and the inflator they sometimes give you...

Where do I belong? Alum Goods 1687, SS16 Clone?

It is my understanding that Starcraft built bare hulls for a few manufactures. It is possible they provided that hull... If I were to guess, it's at least modeled after an Super Sport 16.. But it also looks like Aluminum Goods copied Duracraft earlier so it's hard to know if they built your...

    Tire Pressure

Some models do have a high pressure threshold and will turn on the light for it as well.

    Tire Pressure

It's not useless at all with our operation. We operate 2 bays with 4 tire machines, so there are 4 Snap On digital tire gauges, one for each machine, and even they read differently within .5 PSI or so... With the one gauge, the customer can look at their dash read out and see that they are all...

    Tire Pressure

I work at a highly regarded tire shop.. The max pressure is listed for a cold tire, so your fine. zero damage beyond accelerated treadwear. It's one reason why my shop sets the pressures correctly with a digital inflator after the tires are bolted on the vehicle.

    Who has installed Helicoils ?

drill the hole to the required size, tap with the heli coil tap, insert the coil with the little installation tool. Time Sert may be a better install, but I've never used them

    2 parking problems

I work at a tire shop. I've seen tires wiped out on one side from hitting lumber, mufflers or other road debris. Actually a camper is parked waiting for me Monday with 2 flats on one side, actually missing the tires entirely, and sadly, most of the fender flairs as. Well. One of our good...

    Second Happiest Day . . .

If you are looking for a newer truck, the Ford 7.3L gas pretty much does everything that a 6.7L can. With DEF and the emissions systems, Diesel engines are fading away. The 6.2L would be limited in it's ability but would still do it. GM and RAM really don't have any decent gas options.

Just bought this Snowblower ,Good, bad ??

It is probably a lithium grease, however I wouldn't use spray lithium, not because it won't work ( it will ) but because white lithium grease is available in tubes and would be much cheaper in the long run, and it would pump full pretty easy

Need to buy a CDI for 1988 Yamaha

Megazip.net has them for ~$800, but the motor isn't worth much more than that. I've used that company multiple times, having owned 2 JDM vehicles. Impex Japan lists for $204+ shipping. I have used them as well, but Impex acts as a parts locator in Japan. Having a listing does not guarantee...

Just bought this Snowblower ,Good, bad ??

Do this if the gear case leaks a little. Won't hurt a thing. It is done all the time with Troy Bilt rototillers where the axle seals can weep, or 00 grease, which is barely a fluid. It should be noted, that some of these take grease, and some take gear oil

    Suzuki DF25A prop

It cruises about 3/4 throttle, holding on plane at about 15 MPH which is a nice speed for the boat. Even trimmed all the way in it jumps on plane. The 30hp version of the motor which is mechanically identical is rated to 6,300 so I know that the engine can take it mechanically, and the ECU did...

    PVC board as stringers??

99% chance that it was built using Poly. You CAN rebuild it with epoxy for a higher cost, but not much gain

    Overweight motor

I power a 14' tinny runabout with a 25hp 4 stroke to 25 mph properly propped and trimmed out. I don't see a 16' CC needing much more hp than that realistically. 40-50hp 4 stroke is probably the answer.. I know some of the boats list a MAX hp, but they didn't even offer motor's at that...
