Lights / covers are going to be a supplier rigging item: not dependent on the boat manufacturer. iBoats will carry lights and accessories in the store. Welcome aboard.

1968 Slickcraft 19 foot Just Purchased!

Scissor jack underneath the engine is another way to do that. if you ever have to replace the belt, generally you'll need to remove the engine mount again.

One of my favorite stories to tell right now is that coming down the stairs a few months ago, I heard one of 'em creak. The staircase hadn't been creaking, so I noticed it and wanted to figure out which step it was. I wind up going up and down the staircase about three times; not able to figure...

Identifying old SS OMC prop size

No worries: I actually thought I was reading in the OMC forum as opposed to props anyway ... so who's confused ? :D I had a couple of props for my old Sterndrive that weren't marked well (one wasn't at all). There aren't any numbers inside the hub area at all? I'm pretty sure there...

Identifying old SS OMC prop size

Do you mean outboards? I don't think splines matter much on the Stringers through '77. I thought those all used a pin and cotter key.

    Miserable Midwest Spring

^^^ Acutally; last month - and I wish I could have gotten a picture to capture the funny moment - I was shoveling remnant spring snow (we typically have one last drop from Ole' Man Winter in early spring here) while one of my neighbors was mowing his lawn. Admiral and I got quite the crack up...

    What year, model?

I would trust the paperwork on it: looks to be pre HIN era (earlier than 1972). So, no real telling what it is. Could be a Sears hull; there were several manufacturers.

    Electric Cars or Trucks

1832, 1859, 1884, 1973, 1980, 1997 ... I'm not opposed to electric cars. There are a few that seem pretty slick. But, I don't think the whole of transportation is going to go completely electric; including cars.

Do a little readin' over the restoration forums: I can't find a topic at the moment that's a mirror for yours. But there are plenty very similar. IMHO: to do it right, you're going to have to pull the top cap off the hull (disconnect at the rub rail seam), clean out the deck, put in new...

    Outdrive problems

^^^ yup: you can test power at the knife connectors for the electric shift. Port side, toward the back of the engine. Is this a new-to-you boat?

Start a topic for it in the rebuilding forums. If you have photos from before you stripped out the deck and the stringers post 'em up there. The side pieces along the bottom of the gunwale were mostly for stowage. I think your stringers in that boat are all under the deck (not too much side...
