    Couple issues

Would only expect fuel to be hot enough to boil in the case of an extreme overheat, or vapor lock on a hot, idling engine At 3500 rpm the engine cooling system, if sound ought to be keeping the motor cool enough to run at optimum temp. The fuel in the delivery system won't be there long enough...

4.3l Mercruiser - failed hose test see comments

Sounds like you're referencing the intake manifold drian plug located on the fwd side of intake just above the circ pump If the engine is run with a sea water supply and the plug is not in place water would leak out the hole Where down low on the motor did you see water leaking? Pictures help...

Using boat with a bad trim

Probably be okay as long as the trim works electrically. Just keep an eye on it Have you seen any oil leaking externally? Oil slick on the water?

SX-M outdrive not going into reverse consistently

Yes, definitely change/inspect the gear oil. Was it changed recently? SX M drives work best with a quality GL5 rated lube Issue could be simple as a shift adjustment/worn cable. Need to inspect that before swapping drive parts

    No power at dash

Might not matter at this point. You say the fuse panel isn't receiving 12 + volts? If nothing at the dash works the issue is power supply to the dash. Loose/missing connection from the motor to the helm Is the lanyard switch on?

95 4.3lx alpha one mercruiser cooling system question

The mating surface/oring you're referring to is on the pressure/output side of the pump. It would be leaking water if it's failed not drawing air in Would be obvious on muffs with a sound sea water pump

    What shifter/throttle cables

I don't think there's any adapter for a 33c style end to work with mercury Like Bondo says, the cables for mercruiser have proprietary ends on them. Need specific cables

    Couple issues

Fuel boiling? Like it's hot and boiling? I immediately thought of vapor lock but other than fuel spilling out of carb and landing on a hot intake can't say I've seen fuel boil before I would start with a carb rebuild. Would guess your carburetor is either two bbl rochester or holley. Both very...

No Power Master power switch Lund Boat

First thought would be missing ground or positive lead on battery. Second would be tripped/failed breaker for main power lead to dash accessories
