    Perhaps, being an older drive, perhaps he is hearing the gears engage when there is added lash between the aged gear train. Smooth shifting is what the bravo cone was developed for. With Dubs283 on what I have experienced / seen / heard with the Bravo cone and ramp.

    Did you mean 12.6 on temp, trim and fuel? What you mean by "4 on rest" ? Supposed to be 14? Are you sure the tach is set to proper setting for engine size / cyl? What is that yellow wire connected to ground?

    I dunow, but that shaft looks like it got really hot (blue). Probably welded it to the shaft and will need to be cut off.     Trim gage not working

    Try pulling the right side puck cover off, pull out the insert and clean everything up. Put it back together and see if it helps. Those contact areas do get crapped up and that insert that has the contacts is replaceable. Just a cheap fix / test sometimes.

    On the speedo, usual problem is the pitot tube hole in the leading edge of the lower unit is plugged with caked mud.     The actuator module (part that connects to the trailer hitch) is removed from the frame by disconnecting the brake line the knocking out the 2 through pins on the side. It should just slide out, but be aware, without the pins holding everything in, parts will fall out when the insert is removed...

    Looks like the "bearings", which are plastic discs attached to the sides and top of the coupler insert, are badly worn or missing. Which coupler is it? Should be stamped on it somewhere. Or maybe someone replaced it with the wrong one....

    Not rev up bogs out

    Check the fuel pressure. Could be a plugged fuel filter or a bad anti-siphon valve at the fuel tank that could be limiting fuel available to the carb. Also check that the fuel tank vent is clear (try running with the fuel fill loose / open to see if tank is vented).
