    Fuel question

Multi port injection...been around since the 80's at least. On the mercs EFI usually refers to a throttle body injection.

    Can't trim up ?

You have a trim sensor (that feeds your gauge) and a trim limit switch mounted on the drive. The limit switch is there to prevent the drive from raising past a certain point to prevent damage when underway. The trim switch wiring feeds through the limit switch, which opens when the drive is too...

Help! Coupler Wobble and Alignment Issue? 2005 4.3L MerCruiser Alpha 1..

Is it the same amount of effort to turn/pull out the alignment tool regardless of engine rotation? Witness marks on the alignment tool? Cheap ass me might be willing to go with Sierra, but that's not a job you want to redo or fail on you.

spark from coil but not at plugs..

Indicates that you have some electrical impulse but maybe not enough to make it to the plugs. Correct that it wouldn't spark at all with a bad sensor. Did anything get wet? Double check 12v at the coil. Also put a spark tester on the coil lead. If it's strong there then likely the problem is...

lack of power on 4.3 thunderbolt 5

Things that are easy to mess up: 1. Firing order. Check/double check. 2. #1 wire is in fact pointing at the #1 cylinder on the compression stroke/TDC 3. Plug wire not seated correctly on the plugs. Kind of tough to access on these engines. Do you still have the old parts? Certainly not unheard...

    Water leak

Don't do that. First thing to check is the condition of the bellows. If it's been sitting since '04 they're at least 20+ years old and likely a good bit older. Has it been stored outside or inside? Does it happen while sitting in the water, engine off? How about out of the water on muffs?

Spark Plugs for a 1985 Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha One 140hp

The delcos are corrosion resistant; afaik they're the only ones. After having a close call with ngks a while back I'll stick with the delcos whenever possible

Mercruiser 3.0 overheated, Is my motor shot?

I'd do a compression test, make sure it turns over easily, let er rip and see what happens. Can't imagine removing the head just because. Your rubber boots and flappers are toast, and you will need to find out where the pieces ended up. And even without the compression test you'll know pretty...

    Insurance

My primary liability is a rider with the homeowners, and my umbrella does cover after that. No umbrella provides stand alone coverage afaik.

    TRANSOM ISSUES!!!!

Seems like a bit of a shotgun approach. Certainly worth drilling down further in the transom to check out its condition though.

I'm doing my Bellows. Mercruiser A1G1. Are the Amazon Bellows Kits any good?

My litmus is how much pain does it take to get in there and redo the job. I've had good luck with Sierra, but for a bellows job I would certainly not go cheap. Also, if there's a failure of the part is it going to leave me stranded or just inconvenienced? How easy is it to cheap out on the part...
