    so looking at transom i have no clue they must have decided to just glass the cap on back there, i will have to figure out best place to cut off to remove with cap

    eh mercury cheated and took the 3.0 140 marked down to 130 so they could meat 90 % of the boats they wanted to install in lol

    For remote-steering boats, the formula is: (stern width in decimal feet x length in decimal feet x 2) – 90 = max. horsepower. doing that i came up with 143.7.72 :)so i rounded up :)

    that's actually smaller boat then mine and mine was a 178 xl that boat was only 15 ft long mine is 16.6 its kind of strange research I've done very few outboards sold I guess i/0 was still holding the market then funny how it rates for 140 hp for i/0 135 for outboard, yet weight wise the i/0...

    you know that's not happening lol i still don't understand the whole cc/bow thing but i guess it worked for whomever modified it as such that will be the first thing gone as soon as i can get it to back yard hahaha presently in driveway on jack stands waiting for trailer place to open tomorrow...

    building a hoist today to lift off the engine from the bass boat, going to strip that boat down as much as i can to have parts and pieces all those doors are aluminum so might find alternate uses for them :) or missus will see me hording and reign me in :) anyone know much about them 55 Johnsons?
