    NO Do not stick a clothes hanger up there to try to open it. Will do more damage than good. If you want to replace it pull the powerhead and replace it. That's interesting I always thought the tuners and spacers showed up later.

    Reed spacers and tuners were more mid 80s items.

    The WSM kit is excellent. Look at the top of the pistons for part #s or if they are oversized already.

    Run the piston to just beyond TDC on the down stroke. Take a pencil and push on the piston, if you hear a clunk take the motor apart.
